Wonderful Mail

Img_4344 Img_4353

I received this package today, from the very talented Sabine of Sisterbrandt. It has postcards, gift tags, some paper and two very cool vintage badges. Tusind tak Sabine!!! Can't wait for you to start blogging!! ;o)

Img_4355 Img_4359

My son was very exited about it and "stole" some of the tags, to use as "bus tickets".

The kids got a lot of presents for Christmas, but here are my 2 favorites, that my daughter got...

Img_4365 Img_4371

Well,  we all know the cabbage patch kids doll, right? This one here is Ulrika Jenny. It's very funny though, because we have a tiny friend, whose name is Ulrika! Cute, huh?

The dress, on the other hand, is by Ramonster Wear (a very cool kids clothing line, designed by Kathie Sever), that I found at Black Wagon. I just LOVE the style.

We've had a super Christmas! My boyfriend is back to work now, the kids will be home until January 2. and I only have Thursday and Friday left at my job at Sus & Dus. Then I have all of January off, until I start at my new job, February 1. 2006, which is a permanent job!

GOD JUL!

Merry Christmas everybody and I wish you all a super 2006!

Today is the day for great food, caroling, dancing around the tree and presents!

Here are the Christmas projects I didn't quite finish yet:

See ya...

*Update: I used the salt dough ornaments for our napkins on Christmas eve, along with the mushrooms. The trees were finished by my sister during dinner! The Hobby Clay were never used - it dried out...

Jack in the snow

Img_4250

This is Jack. I made him for my son. He loves him ;o)

So....I've been busy, sick (again!), working and very preoccupied with Christmas.

Also: I've had problems commenting on other TypePad blogs - sorry - I DO still read everyone blogs! TypePad and I ARE trying to figure out what's going on...

Sundays Crafting Projects

Yesterday's projects are ready to be shown to the world ;o)

Img_4182 Img_4201

The Christmas cards says: "God Jul", meaning "Merry Christmas"....

The trylledej (salt dough?) trees was inspired by Stephanie's soft trees, I think they turned out pretty cute! I've been thinking about making some trees like that, to match my candles, because I really love the color combo. We also made hearts, angels, Santas, other trees and even a :-) and a dinosaur, but the photos were very mushy...bummer...I must try again tomorrow.

Today I went shopping for a small tree, to stand beside our front door with lights on. That'll be pretty. I also got these angel wings for my daughter.Img_4190

TIVOLI

Yesterday the kids and I went to Tivoli with my Dad. It was so beautiful with all the lights, Christmas decorations and happy people! Tivoli is an old amusement park in the middle of Copenhagen, it's very pretty and has a lot of rides. Usually it's open during the summer, but in all of December it reopens  - full of lights and Christmas spirit....

Img_4129 Img_4132 Img_4127 Img_4133

Check out my red nose and very yellow teeth!??!!

It was a great day and after Tivoli we went to a Greek/Turkish restaurant - yummmmm....

Anyway...today is 3. Sunday of Advent and I had my friend Laila over with her 2 sons, for a little Christmas decorating fun. We made Christmas cards and "trylledej" - which is a kind of dough to make cut-outs and different figures with. Then they have to go in the oven for 2-8 hours, so photos will have to be posted later! Laila had sent me a little present one day, that said it was from the "nisse" (goblin?), but I could tell it was from her by her handwriting!! Ha ha...It was this felted cone, to hang on the Christmas tree in my favorite color: Purple. I made the mushroom on the first Sunday of Advent, only to realize after wards, that a mushroom is NOT brown, but white!! Oh well...this must be a mushroom gone bad! The cute bird was from my swap with Jackie, so now I have 3 felt ornaments for my Advent Candles, which means I will have to come up with a 4. by next Sunday!?

I have a few minutes to blog!

(*Note: or an hour!?*)

Sooo... I couldn't resist buying some Christmas stuff at the shop I work in!

It's a Medusa Christmas tree along with a snow globe I got a few years back.

AND as you can tell: I got my owl print from my swap with Jackie and it's really pretty - I can't wait to frame it and hang it on the wall....sigh...

Img_4121

She also included the 2 tiny figures, standing next to my (new) candles and babushka Santa Clause that I got last year. On the opposite photo, is a candle light holder spelling out "JUL", which means Christmas in danish.

Getting in the spirit here...huh?

Here's why...

...I've been a bad blogger:

Img_4081

My December job at Sus & Dus - a very small boutique, where we sell Christmas decorations and all kinds of beautiful interior, old furniture and plants.

And also this wonderful guy who I miss terribly:

Img_3788

My sweet love, who's in Hungary this week and I'm alone with the kids.

So until sometime next week, I won't be a good blogger!

Sorry friends ;o)

Peeping Friday

I'm joining Camilla's peeping - what a great idea. I'm sooo nosey!

So here's my bathroom cabinet:

Img_4048 Img_4057

(I don't use a lot of stuff, huh?)

And here are the previous post's that I missed.

Our fridge - inside'n out + my very empty closet:

The "Royal Red" is beer, otherwise it looks surprisingly healthy...;o)

The sweater hanging at the door is from Vanessa Bruno, I just love her clothes!

See more of her here.

December 1.

Yay...it's December and I'm finally over my cold. It's time for a little Christmas girl from Curiosa - ain't she sweet? The little guy is from Maileg at Nordhjem - they're very popular.

Tomorrow I'll be starting my December job and I've packed my new tote bag, with some knitting needles and yarn for entertainment, on the 20 minute train ride each way. I got the bag, when I bought my daughter a pair of stripey stockings and a top to match. I just love Katvig's stripes and now they're coming in adult sizes - yeah...

Anyway today I'll have to clean up the house though and finish some crafting:

  • Christmas stockings for the kids (Bad bad Mommy - not finished yet!)
  • The dog I'm knitting for my son ( Maybe I'll save that for the train?)
  • Door ornament

I'm just behind this year, because I went down with a cold, which is SO annoying.

My boyfriend will be going to Hungary this Sunday, for a week to work - GRRR....well we'll have tons of Christmas fun without him!

I'll leave you with a little Christmas present:
