Taking a Blog Break

I have to take a little Blog Break - I've got stuff going on, up to my ears ;o)

*I've been a bad blogger, because I don't have time to comment.

*I've been neglecting our MiniSwap girl :o(

*I've done NO crafting!

*I've got nothing exiting to share...

What I HAVE been doing, is worry about our money-situation.....wah wah wah.....and clearing and cleaning house, so it'll present it self well, when the real estate agents come and take a look. We have to take out a loan in our house, so I can be a stay-at-home-Mom and it just never cleared!!! Dammit!

I just SO SOOO love staying at home - I just can't handle the stress at the moment, so I'm taking a break here! Hope to see you soon.

Today's cleaning lady, all dressed up with a lovely flower pin, from my sweet friend Blair. Saved my day ;o)

Weekend

Yesterday the kids and I went to visit my Mom and go out for lunch with her, my brother Rasmus and his girlfriend Sophie - we had such a fun time, laughing like lunatics!!

Img_5025_1 Img_5027_1

LOOOVE MY KIDS: Kisses, hugs, hearts, squeezes, love, love, love....;o)

As I went to check the schedule for the trains in the morning, I stopped by Flickr to see what was going on with "my contacts" . I saw this and remembered: IT'S FRIDAY! So I checked the trains and the computer was OF until this morning - yay - I'm so good! (If I would just remember!!!)

After such a great Friday with family, my son and I will do Mini Swap today. We bought this book (here) for Cassidy yesterday, so she can learn danish.....noooo we just love the book - it's absolutely funny and the illustrations tell it all! My son drew a dog, that I'm sewing for her and he gets to try to sew on my machine!!! Argh... We have a few other small projects lined up and hopefully the package will be out of here Monday.

Oh.... on another note: After seeing ThriftCraft and all the lovely links, I have decided to hang on to my thrifted goods and just *show them of* instead of selling them!  I will still sell my handmade goodies....just need a few more hours in the day though ;o)

Sneak Peak Boutique

Within the next few weeks, I will be opening a little shop, either in etsy or here!

I will sell Funny Ladies, animal cards and knitted dogs. I also have a small stash of vintage finds to sell.

Later on I will add some pillows and stuffed animals made of vintage fabrics!

I have also joined Plush You II, which is later this year and I'm REALLY exited about it! Hope to make *tons* of stuffies, before I have to submit my 3 for the show, so I'm in real good shape ;o)

Oh....another thing I'm *doing* is Blair's *Computer Free Days*! Man I sucked this Friday!!! I turned my computer on at 11:45, after a whole day without it! Well I'm still in this week anyway - I HAVE to do better!

Car-less

So....we don't have a car. Never did. We used to live in the middle of our city, behind one of the tiny shops, with a little creek outside our windows. We had everything within a 10 minute walking distance: Groceries, school, kindergarten, shops, public transportation, family and friends. Well...the apartment got to small and to close to water for kids - they could actually climb the fence and fall into the creek! That was our backyard. My Dad still owns the house, but now we own our own. We love to own our own home. We could only afford to buy a house 20 minutes, by car, away from our old town. The first year we had a car. Couldn't afford it. Now we have bikes.

It takes 20-30 minutes to walk, to the public transportation. So we need something to put the kids in, so my son won't have to walk. He's to big for our bike-baby-seats! I'm thinking these would fit our needs. And we could bring them on the train.

They're all made by Canadian Chariot Carriers and can be used for jogging, hiking, skiing and biking. They're very popular in Denmark - especially outside of Copenhagen. In Copenhagen they use the Christiania Bikes. I just LOVE them. Check out the other colors. BLUE and RED.

Only trouble is that, with this one, we can't bring the stroller part in the train. But maybe this new Trio Bike, can fix that problem?

Historien

Isn't it cool?

We have to do something about our transportation. We HAVE to be a bit more social!

We actually love not polluting with a car, but I can't say we never will have a car again though - it IS comfy ;o)

Well transportation aside....it took me over a year to settle down, where we live now. I've always lived in our old city. Luckily we've made some good friends here. My son's kindergarten is SUPER. And we're NOT THAT FAR AWAY!

My Lovely Wedding

We had such a wonderful time Saturday. We had planned a simple wedding. A short (5 minute) ceremony, held by our Mayor, at our local Town Museum. We had invited 50 people - family and friends - to our house after wards. We ended up being 35-40 grown ups and kids, all having a glorious time. We had a buffet and beer. We had cake and coffee. We got spoiled rotten with huge gifts. And now I'm a stay at home Mom. I'm a Wife. I am HAPPY!

Finnish Visitors

Yesterday I had the most WONDERFUL TIME in Copenhagen with Annu of Lovely Living and her sister Liinu. They were in Denmark to attend the Formland Fair, to shop for their boutique.

Img_4852

Me, Annu and Liinu.

We had lunch, went shopping, had coffee and exchanged goodies!

Img_4881 Img_4884 Img_4885

Annu gave me this vintage Marimekko dress, that I just looove. Now I have to buy a matching dress for my daughter! She also gave those cool mittens, my boyfriend got chocolate tools (that he wants to bring to work!), my daughter got a retro cat and my son got a cool t-shirt. She TOTALLY knows my style, which is very cool of her ;o) Everything was wrapped up so nice, with Moomin cards (that I so so love), but the photos I took were crap. We have the most lousy weather around here - as you can probably tell from most of my photos.....sorry....

Img_4888

Well I gave Annu the piggies...and yes the *cute* one too ;o)

Here's a peek at the Funny Lady I made her - the one on the right, the other one's for my Mom - and to the far left is an elephant card and a giraffe card for her (and her kids). They're all for framing.

Img_4846

I'll have some Funny Ladies and other funny cards up for sale, some time after the wedding - the 11. this month - I was being VERY optimistic saying they'd be ready now!
