Kids Rooms

I love kids rooms.

I love stuff for kids rooms.

I love stuff for kids.

And WILL keep it for myself.

Like the dog and horse, that my son continuously asks about: "Whose IS this Mommy?"

Well....they're MINE!

I love photo's of kids rooms.

  1. From *Children's Rooms Stockholm* at Paumes.  Man I want this book ;o)
  2. From *Elle Interiør* a new fave magazine.

I love kids rooms shops like Swedish barndesign, who sells such funny stuff, like a softie radio, that actually works.

Pacifiers with skulls. A banana holder. Super cool mobiles for the stroller.

Another cool shop is Marie's Butik, that I mentioned before. But look at this cute deer, with knobs for hanging your coat! Another deer at DWR. I'm super inspired by those shapy pillows. Others here and here.

I have tons of links for shops and designers, because at one point, I thought I was gonna open an on line shop with *Stuff For Kids*. Well you never know what'll happen. I'm still very passionate about it and check up on what's going on, so maybe one day I'll be a work-at-home-Mom. (Like being a stay-at-home-Mom isn't work?)

Ooohh.... I would sell classic and new Scandinavian design, like Nanna Ditzel's Toadstool and Flendsted Mobiles:

Cups and plates by Holly's:

Hollykop20mg Hollyskaal20mg Hollytaller20mg

Kaj Bojesen's Monkey and Rocking Horse:

And of course my own design....like my elephant cards, for hanging on the wall,  looking *pretty*!

Maybe one day I would even have a *live* shop....like rompgenius jones or mini jake  (at two jakes)?

  1. genius jones in Miami.
  2. romp in Brooklyn found through design*sponge.

As I said: "I LOVE kids stuff!"

(Got any great links? Let me have'em!)

So weird, I saw that same kid's decor book at the Japanese bookstore and almost bought it (but didn't because I already had the French one I posted about several weeks ago). I love kid's stuff too, I'm really having a great time searching my city for vintage kids things.

kristina,
i loved this post--and we have the same passions...now i know a bit more about your taste while i shop for you!! i already have some ideas!
hugs,
lisa

I love kids' rooms too. One of my favorite books on the subject is Cool Kids' Rooms. http://www.buy.com/prod/Cool_Kids_Rooms/q/loc/106/36491708.html

All very cool and your elephant cards fit right in! Wonderful job and links :)

When my little one was small, I had the same obsessions. The photos on top are wonderful. Sometimes I wish I had another little child around, just so I could indulge again...
P.S. I am Danish too...

P.S.S.
Your little ones are true treasures... so sweet...

Thanks for the links! I'm a sucker for this kind of colourful, happy kids stuff, too. The banana holders are making me laugh!

Ohhhh how I love looking at all of this! All the funky colours, I want everything...

LOVE this post! I must get a banana holder, no one likes a squished banana.

Wow what a totally amazing post. I love some of those links.

i love this post! and kid's stuff are the best. when shopping for my kids, i often have to purchase two of something...one for them...one for ME! here's a link that you might enjoy...

great post! http://www.kidonyc.com/shop:education/ is fun to check out too! (though too pricey for me!)

Wow, Kristina! This all is totally YOU :) Though I love those kids thingies, too!

Oh wow! Love these things & links... it makes me want to throw a kiddie tantrum - "I want them ALL! I want them now!!"... cheers, g

Thanks so much for the fun links. I'm also a sucker for kids stuff and I don't even have any but I love everything for them. Even kids clothing is better.

hi kristina-
me too! I love kids' stuff and kids' rooms and the idea of having a kids' shop!
I love to visit museum shop's kids' stuff- like at moma, sfmoma, tate, moca, etc... and shops like modernseed, nonchalant mom! also any kid shop that sells flendsteds, that's a good sign for me! :)

I love, love, love kids rooms too. I've always been a bit unfulfilled in that area because my own childrens' rooms never seem to "get there" decorative wise, bummer.

Thanks for coming by today!! No, those kites won't work, they are just for gazing at while they hang from the ceiling :)

hello,
your blog is really good, I'm a fan of vintage finds and children universe too
it seems that you don't know another great boutique for kids stuff in brooklyn: it's called POMME , in washington street, Dumbo.
I had an exhibition there in december, and now they are beginning activities that sound great.
go check:http://pommenyc.com/events

on the love of things
for children...
heehee

I LOVE those images! My fav is the skull binki! So dang cute.

Great post!!This book "Children´s rooms Stockholm" must be beautiful!
Congratulations for your shop:)

I reconise the right kidroom is from Créme de la Créme-shop owner, Helle Högsbro. Her home seems to be in many magazines. I think I´ve seen it in at least three magazines. it is a fabolous home so I can understand why. I haven´t seen this version before, how I would loved to see the whole reportage. I´m never gonna be tired of that home.
