Birthday Presents for My Mom
My Mom wanted something colorful, to go with her some what neutral/earth toned living room decor. She has a dark painting by my Granddads brother on the wall, which has an orange dot on it, so I tried to work with that. The "Funny Lady" I took from my etsy shop, but the scrap collage I made with Julie's long layer tile in mind.
I made the pillow using Denyse Schmidt's "foundation-piecing method" which I also used for my scarf. I'm very pleased with it and happy to be using some of the fabric scraps, I have been given from all over the world.
this is great, the pillow is all of my favorite colors in one perfect spot...

Hi, I have never really used orange, as it isnt immediately one of my favourite colours, but I think I will try using it more from now on. Thanks for the inspiration. I will let you know how it goes!

Very seventies colour combination, gorgeous! Reminds me of our living room back then which I thought was everything but gorgeous. Today I wish I had all that stuff my parents had...
