An American Pancakes Sunday
Not much crafting going on around here, but I really have an urge to make, make, make, so I hope I can squeeze in, a couple of hours in my craft room later today. Someone who is always super crafty is Mette. Take a look at the cat she made, from my pattern in the book Softies. It's so cool seeing my own pattern made by someone else! Maybe we should set up a Flickr group for this book? By the way: I just found the book for sale here and they ship worldwide.
*Update: Marné from heylucy just made a Flickr group for the Softies book - please join us!
My Daughter has a fever today, so she´s hanging out in front of the TV, while I have a lot of practical chores to attend to.
Also I have some personal issues going on, which is why my Blogging will continue to be very sporadic!
But, we're always up for making American pancakes. Pancakes - here in Denmark - are bigger and thinner. More like crepes. My kids love American pancakes.

Yummy, I love american pancakes too! I think that a flickr-group would be a great idea, Kristina. ;) Mette

Hello!
my son love american pancakes too! Great idea for breakfast!
So so nice to read your blog again!

Ha! Our kids like the thin Scandinavian pancakes that my mom makes for them and that I grew up eating, especially when she tells them the story of the runaway pancake while she's cooking the pancakes for them.
Of course, they like the thick, American style ones, too. What's not to like about pancakes, thick or thin?

I laughed at your post as we had Danish pancake Sunday. My husband is Danish and he hates the pancakes here in the US. Every once in a while he gets early, heads to the store for supplies and makes a big batch for us. If my friends find out he is in the kitchen they are sure to show up hungry. ... I guess the grass is always greener...

I hope everything is ok there.
Pancakes: We have them thin and crepe-like here also( im sure the moomins eat it that way too), but i prefer making the american style. It´s way much less complicated for me with my limited kichen skills.

Very sporadic or not, I love reading your blog.
American pancakes - we eat these. With real maple syrup and lots of fresh fruit. But only on occasion because they're too filling. I think I would prefer the thinner crepe-style ones.

It's funny, I prefer my husband's Dutch (crepe-like) pancakes. Of course, when I made American pancakes for my French friends, they loved them, too. Beautiful plate!
