Chris Cornell LIVE

01c098e104544aab821c3531d291736f

August 21 st. I had the pleasure of going to the Chris Cornell (former Soundgarden and Audioslave) concert in Vega Copenhagen. It was such a great evening. I went with my Bro and Mini Sis and we just rocked. Now my sister is only 18 and was hardly born during the whole Grunge/Seattle period, which was my *life* during my teens, but this concert was a trip down memory lane for me, with tons of Soundgarden, the song "Seasons" from the movie Singles (I LOVED that movie!) and Hunger Strike by Temple of the Dog. Mini Sis and especially my Brother enjoyed this as much as me.....happy days.....

Now I can't stop listening to my old Soundgarden CD, so yesterday when I took the train, I brought my old "Disc-man" - I'm horribly behind all this technology - I don't have an iPod(?). As I told my husband, how the CD had kept bouncing on the train, he just laughed and said: "Why don't you just download the CD to your phone?" ??????????? Huh???????? CD to phone???????

I don't know about you guys, but my brain just can't figure that one out.......my husband will have to do that for me. Before he leaves for a week to Sweden. Again.

Oh and speaking of Chris Cornell, I had read somewhere that he lives in Paris (obviously I had caught on to that!), so Googling that connection I found that he even has a restaurant there. Now there's a new place to try the next time we go to Paris!

Like any of you cares about all this music stuff.

I don't care.

This is my Blog.

ahem. i own "singles" on vhs (yeah i'm obviously behind, too). i do think chris cornell looks infinitely better with short hair though - but at the time i fancied eddie vedder (remember pearl jam?) oh dear, you have catapulted me back into the early nineties!!! ;)

*lol* I am "only" 5 years older but still this whole Seattle period is soooo not me, that was too...sad for me. :o)
I could not help but laugh at the phone story - I bought a "pre-loved" phone which could make use of memory cards so that I could put music on it (and surf the internet)...! :o) After that I got an iPod as a B-day present...love it to pieced, I use it for audio books so I can knit simultaniously with "reading". :o)

Oh honey, it is not as hard as it sounds! Just put the cd in the computer, open it on Itunes, convert the songs to mp3's and copy them onto your phone (which of course you have to plug in first if you don't use bluetooth or something like it). Voila, Chris Cornell on your phone, and no bouncing around! Come on, you can do this! Surprise your hubbie and impress yourself now!

I was a grungie too, but I was more into Nirvana. Not anymore though. :-)

You need to post a pic of you in your grunge days....mine are so sad....all hair and boots and skirts!! I still love my 90's CDs.

Oh how fun...he of course is from Seattle and I saw him a few times at the drug store years ago. He is much smaller in person but oh so handsome. You need an IPod for sure. I love mine but don't use it nearly enough.
xoxoxo

Vedder. Din aften i Vega lyder som noget jeg også ville ha´elsket. STORT. Har fulgt din blog i noget tid og du laver nogle ret skønne ting:-)

Oh, I SO care. Chris Cornell is one of my celebrity crushes, and since I only have a few, and he's a bit out of the contemporary limelight, I was so glad to read about him (and see him) here.

WoW! I'm sure it was a great concert. I love Chris Cornell's voice. (Soundgarden remainds me so good times). And I think Chris Cornell looks better (more handsome) now than in the 90's.
I have an iPod mini (1 GB) and it's enough to listen music in the subway. Sincerely...most of the times I forget to loud the battery...

oh man, chris cornell is divine! love love love! us old farts lived on soundgarden, i would die to see him! if i ever make it to paris...(now i have a reason) i would definitely go to his restaurant! :)
