An American Pancakes Sunday

Img_0964

Not much crafting going on around here, but I really have an urge to make, make, make, so I hope I can squeeze in, a couple of hours in my craft room later today. Someone who is always super crafty is Mette. Take a look at the cat she made, from my pattern in the book Softies. It's so cool seeing my own pattern made by someone else! Maybe we should set up a Flickr group for this book? By the way: I just found the book for sale here and they ship worldwide.

*Update: Marné from heylucy just made a Flickr group for the Softies book - please join us!

My Daughter has a fever today, so she´s hanging out in front of the TV, while I have a lot of practical chores to attend to.

Also I have some personal issues going on, which is why my Blogging will continue to be very sporadic!

But, we're always up for making American pancakes. Pancakes - here in Denmark - are bigger and thinner. More like crepes. My kids love American pancakes.

I Got SUPERswapped!

Img_1211 Img_1224

Img_1228 Img_1231

My end of the French superswap! has arrived and we were all super exited! The fabulous Stéphanie at sicotin sent us a box of goodies, containing loads of Mommy´s superhero - Superman - goods: A Superman "Strikkelise", Superman tea and a superhero book. She made a Superman softie for my son and a lovely pillow with a rainbow, for my daughter, who just recently discovered rainbows and are really exited about them. She also made a Digimon painting for my son, which he keeps carrying around, trying it out on all the walls, to find a good spot for it!

We are very grateful. Thank you so much Stéphanie, for making this such a great swap!

Check out the cute mushrooms and dog she made....ooh la lah....

And finally my package arrived at Manouche's! I loved making this for her and I'm really glad they all liked what I sent!

Chris Cornell LIVE

01c098e104544aab821c3531d291736f

August 21 st. I had the pleasure of going to the Chris Cornell (former Soundgarden and Audioslave) concert in Vega Copenhagen. It was such a great evening. I went with my Bro and Mini Sis and we just rocked. Now my sister is only 18 and was hardly born during the whole Grunge/Seattle period, which was my *life* during my teens, but this concert was a trip down memory lane for me, with tons of Soundgarden, the song "Seasons" from the movie Singles (I LOVED that movie!) and Hunger Strike by Temple of the Dog. Mini Sis and especially my Brother enjoyed this as much as me.....happy days.....

Now I can't stop listening to my old Soundgarden CD, so yesterday when I took the train, I brought my old "Disc-man" - I'm horribly behind all this technology - I don't have an iPod(?). As I told my husband, how the CD had kept bouncing on the train, he just laughed and said: "Why don't you just download the CD to your phone?" ??????????? Huh???????? CD to phone???????

I don't know about you guys, but my brain just can't figure that one out.......my husband will have to do that for me. Before he leaves for a week to Sweden. Again.

Oh and speaking of Chris Cornell, I had read somewhere that he lives in Paris (obviously I had caught on to that!), so Googling that connection I found that he even has a restaurant there. Now there's a new place to try the next time we go to Paris!

Like any of you cares about all this music stuff.

I don't care.

This is my Blog.

Swaps at Dawn

Img_1141

The fabulous and super talented Dawn sent me this huge box of goodies. It contained Aeble (apple in Danish) - the Rhino - as a birthday present for my son, who turned 7 yesterday. The tags had wonderful stories of Aeble and Blomst (flower in Danish) - the Jack Rabbit. Blomst was for me, but it turned out that my daughter snatched it from me! Who can blame her? I have been longing for Dawns Love=Creatures "forever" and was so, so pleased when we decided to do a swap.

Img_1151

Of course we had to include mags, being mag lovers the both of us. She also included some wonderful books for the kids.

Img_1144

And a set of glittery flower tattoos and diamond rings! WOW! The joy!

Img_1137

Her Mom made this bag and it is so me. I can't wait to use it with my boots in the Fall.....

Img_1153

Check out my end of the bargain here! And I just have to second everything she says about Blog friends!!! So, so true.

On an entirely different note:

I have been offline for the last week. Something happened to the computer and it went pitch black! It might have something to do with a "few drops of coffee" in the keyboard - a-hem - and my Husband being in Sweden for a 10 day work trip.

Anyway, I will be trying to get back on emails for the next couple of days, just to let you know I didn't forget anyone ;o)
