I'm always working on multiple projects: Sewing, knitting, painting, re-decorating etc.
A hoooooge re-dec project is on its way, as we need to make our apartment more functional. It might not end up very....hmmm...conventional but will definitely meet our needs. More on that later.
A little while ago Kathrine kindly offered me this book - 'Super Mom' - after leaving a wonderful comment on my blog. She included the sweetest little bird brooch from her etsy shop, where she also sells fab shoulder warmers like this one!
As mentioned I've been working on mini-elephant-hang-softies and this is how they've turned out. (This is the back.) I found the one that didn't quite work out, hanging on a door. Apparently my sweetie has been decorating and re-arranging our apartment!
I was at the local flea market and as I was squatting on the floor to flick through some stockings for my girl, I noticed this elephant behind the basket I was going through. The woman at the counter didn't know how to price it, so she practically gave it away!
Penguin USA have just put out the book softies in a new edition - new cover and new name. I have two patterns in it (bunny and cats) and I feel very proud, because now it's available outside of Australia and many more of you can get a hold of it. I've found it both on American Amazon and UK Amazon.
Go ahead now!
And do remember to post photos of the softies you make with these patterns on the softies page - it's so cool to see your own softies made by others!
