Made this little apple skirt, using småfolk baby bed linen, with matching leg warmers for my babe....leg warmers have tiny silvery threads in the red yarn. Very much loved by little 4 year old girls...

I'm trying to get to know my camera better but right now I'm even more confused than when I started!

More Animals
Other than the visiting cat, we also have our guinea pig and bunny living here! Yup! Three animals in our tiny apartment. I think we're about to grow out of the apartment. Not only because of all the inhabitants but also because my kids are...well....kids. They need to move around and it's not easy when we have to be considerate of downstairs neighbors. I hate that I have to stop them in their play. In their development. I so wish I could find another place for us to live our life. Somewhere, where we can jump around as much as we want. Maybe even go outside. I'm not a garden person, so any tiny piece of dirt would do. And not having up- or downstairs neighbors. I know it's a lot to ask but I hope something will show up. One of these days...anyway...I'm thrilled to finally have my type case back on the wall. It used to hang in the dining room of our wonderful old house. Now it's hanging in our hall way....
Kitty Visitor
We have a little visitor these days.
Ex hubby is away for 9 days with work, so we picked up our old cat - Duchesse - so she wouldn't have to be home alone for that long.
She's a very social cat and she likes to cuddle. A lot.
Only problem is, that she is not allowed to leave the apartment to "go potty", which is why we now have a smelly litter box, placed in our hallway.
Yuck!
The kids are loving having her here.....but eventually she'll have to go back home.
Besides, she IS used to go hunting outside.
(She's a super bird catcher!)
And she DOES have her little cat friends.
(Some huge male neighbor cats!)
But she DOES seem quite content here though....
Kitchen Dining Area
So we didn't quite go for the radical change. The plan was to move all the kids things into our living room and make my daughter's room into our bedroom (as we all sleep together anyway) and my son's room would be my craft room, so the living room would end up as the playroom.
You see; my kids don't use their rooms a whole lot and we (I!) could really use the extra space but...
I had second thoughts.
To bold.
Instead I've finally had the last lightning installed so the kids (read: My son) can move around and flick on lamps everywhere.
I also decorated the walls here and there and I'm super thrilled with my kitchen dining area above.
