The very sweet Sophie Pester recently asked me if she could feature me on hello handmade. I had never been by before but after a (grand) tour I decided to accept as it's a real cool site. Great set up, design, colors, atmosphere etc and lovely features. Including myself now!
A little up date from my a tree a day project on Flickr.
Doesn't it look cool with all nine of them? Well I've been looking forward to making this tiny mosaic for you...
Hazeljoy has joined me...great fun to follow what she comes up with.
Now the fabulous Hanna has made a fantastic joulukalenteri! I seriously love her work and style! (This is her blog.)
My all time favorite shop has recently moved and I haven't even stopped by there yet! BUT they have also launched a webshop!
SO! Join me and go on over and be inspired. Be sure to check the 'About' pages and the 'Categories'. Oh! And the 'Press' pages. Great stuff.
Papier Mache Magazine has an interview with Helle (the owner/designer) on page 20. More great stuff.
I think she's just about the coolest person ever and have been seriously starstruck the few times I've seen her in the shop. To the point where I couldn't say a word. Just starring. Not as bad as when I met Helena Christensen in a tiny sewing accessories boutique and my heart started pounding as if I was in love or something and I immediately ran out of the boutique! Well that's another and very embarrassing story.
I've actually followed her (Helle not Helena) from the very beginning. I remember chasing around some harbour or something in Cph, looking for her studio, where she made those cute fur hoodies for kids and I know I sound like a crazy stalker but she was supposed to sell the hoodies there okay? And I wanted one for my son. (Like I could afford one!) So it must've been like 10 years ago. Geez.
Speaking of crazy stalker and starstruck: If you check out her hair you will see we have similar hair do's. NOT on purpose. Hahaha...I got it before I saw these new photo's of her. So I'm thinking she's the stalker. Hah.
Another fan of hers is Megumi. Check out her blog for inspiring photo's and her shop for a bunch of lovely goodies.
I was surfing around the other day and stumbled upon this blog which is the blog of fabulous art and design studio Hvass & Hannibal. I saw this tapestry in their shop and remembered how Monica was saying that my painting (left) would make a great quilt. Well... this is how I imagined it would look like as a quilt!
(Take a look at the process when they made the extremely cool tapestry/quilt!)
Oh...and I'm in no way comparing myself to them! They rock!
We're holidaying here at camp karkovski. Sleeping late. Hanging around. Doing nothing. Crafting a bit. Thinking about life a lot. The year is turning, you know...
This is my work table in my room. Alicia's wonderful and colorful book open to show you one of my dogs is in it! With credit and all! Okay, okay so I didn't really invent the pattern (it's from this book) but I most certainly knit it! Alicia was also one of the first people I met online and she will always have a special place in my (blog) heart. Every once in a while I check my stats and there will always be a few people over here via this post she made all most three years ago! That darn pig story! I'm still not sure what I think of the pig but it was given to Siiri...
Oh...the very cool cup is from KeepCup and found via Anna who is also close to my (blog) heart! I even got some for my step sister and her guy...I find them amazingly cool! I could really use some in other colors as well...
And very large reading glasses for me...
This thing with my 4 th. Bloggaversary coming up has made me take a look back at the beginning of my Blog. I mean FOUR years! How did it all begin? And where is it all going? When I think about the beginning names come to mind. Like Camilla Engman, A Ervilha Cor de Rosa, Angry Chicken, Bird in the hand, Little Birds, Wee Wonderfuls, Lizette Greco. I think they all inspired me to start blogging. They still inspire me. I don't know about the rest of you but since then it feels like Blogland has exploded! There are so many new (and some not so new) wonderful and inspiring Blogs out there - it's overwhelming - and I can't keep track of all of them. Heck I can't even keep track of those passing through here every day - some 300+ - even though I wished I had the time to get to know more of you. In the beginning I felt like I knew my Blog buddies, you know? And now I'm just all over the place!
Anyway...I don't know where my blogging is going but it has definately been a great way to document the life of myself and my kids. Take a look at how small they were!
If you've made it this far in my post I would love it if you would leave a comment just stating your age + country + how often you drop by my Blog? I saw Elisabeth doing this a while back and found it very interesting. And I wanna know too!
Have a great week every one ;o)
Thank you everybody for participating!
I'm overwhelmed by how many of you who took the time to answer these questions and I find it very interesting to look at the diversity of you who follow this Blog and how many of you who has been here from the beginning...amazing...inspiring...wonderful...thank you for stopping by ;o)
