re-loading etsy

(I've decided to re-open my etsy shop and re-load it! I intend to keep it open and expand when new goods are ready. In the coming days I'll re-stock with whatever remaining goods I have laying around:) My initial idea of having a shop is to sell small originals available at an affordable price which is one of the reasons that I work in the medium of collages/handprint/paint/ink/illustration etc. in size A4 (other than I really like to work in these medias). I also work in larger scales in both paper and canvas and will aim to make prints of some these at some point to have an interaction of affordable originals and prints.

Matte et Mati

I just bought this FAB print from Mati's etsy shop. I am such a fan of hers, so now I will take the long trip to IKEA for another frame for my wall and oh yes there is plenty of room for more wonderful art! I just found Matte Stephens etsy shop and I truly can't decide which print to get? They're all so great! And I must say he has an impeccable interior dec style....geez....

I got these books a long time ago and they're really inspiring. I'm not the only one to think so, take a peek here and here.

 

And of course a little jeu de paume for decorating my new apartment. (Can I still call it new after 2 months?)

Birthday Presents for My Mom

My Mom wanted something colorful, to go with her some what neutral/earth toned living room decor. She has a dark painting by my Granddads brother on the wall, which has an orange dot on it, so I tried to work with that. The "Funny Lady" I took from my etsy shop, but the scrap collage I made with Julie's long layer tile in mind.

I made the pillow using Denyse Schmidt's "foundation-piecing method" which I also used for my scarf. I'm very pleased with it and happy to be using some of the fabric scraps, I have been given from all over the world.

They've taken quite a bit of time to get here, but finally they're done. I hope to add a little once in a while to the shop, to keep my creative energy flowing. I do have a lot of Christmas plans for stocking fillers and decorations - I loooove Christmas!
