Thoughts from the Kitchen

Img_1660

Making lunch and doing dishes......and I'm still amazed at how well we all are. How easily we have slipped into this new lifestyle. How we have found new rhythms in no time. How the kids have just accepted that, we live here and Dad lives there. Of course there have been tears, especially from the little one. She can't understand in words. But I try not to make a "big deal" out of it, I just let her grieve. I try not to expect any of us having a huge breakdown, because my believe is that, if you expect something, you are almost sure it will happen. And I believe and expect that, we can live peacefully and happily ever after.....

Hello!

Still here!

We moved last weekend and this weekend my children are at their Dad's, so it gives me some time to get things in order. As you can see, it's all a big mess right now, but I got most of the things we need, I "just" need to organize and put up lamps, shelves and frames etc.

These are random shots from around the apartment. I can't wait to take some good shots of finished corners to show you. The apartment is very 1970 and I love the kitchen. All the floors are wood, except the bathroom, and they were all grinded and varnished before we moved in. I've been shopping quite a bit at IKEA, but hopefully all the old crap I have collected over the years, will give our home a feeling of me.

I am doing really good emotionally, as are my wonderful children. Of course they are sad, mainly the little one, as she can't understand in words. My son however knows he will see his Dad again. The next few months will be all about adjusting and getting into routines and habits and of course enjoying December....

I am also very happy about going to school and I feel like I will get more into it, when my base is not so messy and I can focus on homework as well.

Thanks again for all your support and encouraging words - they mean the world to me!

Packing and Purchasing

Thank you everybody, for all your support!

It means soooo much to me, that I have this world - Blogland - and I can't stress this enough: It really helps me through this time in my life!

I have started to pack up my stuff. I started in my craft room and the attic. Phew....I sure have a lot of stuff.

I have also started to purchase some of the things, that I will need in our new place. Like towels and the likes on the above photo. The tea towels are from our trip to Sweden. I got them in Åhléns and they are muchos pretty. I need some more of them! I also got some of the fab fabrics below, that I've been yearning for, ever I since I laid my eyes on them the first time. They were actually the first thing I saw, when I stepped into the streets of Jönsköping! (From iems.)

Don't you just looove the part with Elisabeth's name? I totally freaked out, when I saw it! Oh, and by the way - she has opened an etsy shop, where you can buy her gorgeous print!
