Little Surprises

Dsc_0047

Jackie just sent me a hoooooge stack of prints and I just looooove them! I already have two of her owl prints and I highly recommend them - go check out her etsy shop. Some of my faves I got are the wise owl, made it! and the 70's bird!

Then Mette sent me another of her gorgeous Babushka dolls for my collection in my daughters room. It's the green checkered one. I just love her new Artista collection. (Oh, check out the hexagon bag she made - isn't it fab?)

Thoughts from the Kitchen

Img_1660

Making lunch and doing dishes......and I'm still amazed at how well we all are. How easily we have slipped into this new lifestyle. How we have found new rhythms in no time. How the kids have just accepted that, we live here and Dad lives there. Of course there have been tears, especially from the little one. She can't understand in words. But I try not to make a "big deal" out of it, I just let her grieve. I try not to expect any of us having a huge breakdown, because my believe is that, if you expect something, you are almost sure it will happen. And I believe and expect that, we can live peacefully and happily ever after.....

Knock Knock

A little while ago, the nesting blog contacted me for a feature on their blog. Here is how it turned out:

Welcome to our home!

GREEN

Img_1697 Img_1707

I've gone green. I'm a bit obsessed these days about everything having to be organic and healthy. I subscribe to aarstiderne, which is a company who bring me organic fruits and vegetables once a week. My cupboards and fridge are packed with everything organic. I spend every dime coming into our household on GREEN. Must take it easy on that. No need obsessing.

How green are you?

More Corners

Img_1565 Img_1580

My Sweeties room is so pink. I don't think it's a bad pink, it's just very pink. She has a lot of handmade stuff from all over the world - pillow from France, a Jack Rabbit from the U.S. and of course dog, bunny, snake and bird by Mommy.

The living/bed room is also a little pink, due to my own paintings, but also Elisabeth's print - which I finally had framed - contains pink. And awesome little creatures like a fox and a unicorn.

See full corner here.

Tomorrow is my last day of school before Christmas and I will be on break until January 9 th. Aaahhhh.....the joys of going to school....

I DO however have a lot of creative projects to work on, so I'll have time for that when the kids return to school and Kindy on January 3 rd. Maybe I can squeeze in a few hours of homework....I dunno....

Can't wait to share some craft projects in the new year!

Welcome To My Son's Room

Come on in.....if you dare.....

I've finished up some corners for him. Adding some new pillows and shelves. He really likes it.

Today my daughter went home with a friend after Kindergarten, so I picked up my son early and we had a fun day. Just the 2 of us.

Exactly what he needed.

We've been playing and hanging out in his room. Listening to music. Him saying a lot of: "Mommy, you're crazy!" Lots of laughs.

Exactly what I needed.

Cozy Corner

I got my IKEA Ektorp corner sofa bed in white and I just love it!

I even got some of my art up - put it there myself, thank you very much. Shannon's gorgeous girls and Jackie's amazing lino cut prints, all of which I will love forever! A little piece of art by my son and a frame my daughter decorated. Also my own painting. The one that has gone bad from using the kids paint....duh!

Anyway, I am very pleased about our apartment so far and I hope to "finish up" pretty soon. I know I will always get new idea's for decorating, but for now, I would just like to be done....

(Other angles here and here.)

December here we come...

Img_1484 Img_1487

I'm trying to decorate for Christmas. Not easy when all our stuff is not up on walls etc. But have a look at this wonderful piece of furniture. Remember it? As you can see it had a huge moving scratch - boo hoo - but I still love it and one day I will give it some attention and make it all purty.....

I've been looking through my Novembers and Decembers for inspiration. Great fun to look back.

Oh and I love Jenny's Christmas Idea's List and Leya's tree's and the Christmas Idea's and Inspiration pool on Flickr and and and lots of December inspiration out there....see you all soon.

Oooohhh and these! I just saw these girls and I so, so adore them!
