Little Surprises

Dsc_0047

Jackie just sent me a hoooooge stack of prints and I just looooove them! I already have two of her owl prints and I highly recommend them - go check out her etsy shop. Some of my faves I got are the wise owl, made it! and the 70's bird!

Dsc_0050

Then Mette sent me another of her gorgeous Babushka dolls for my collection in my daughters room. It's the green checkered one. I just love her new Artista collection. (Oh, check out the hexagon bag she made - isn't it fab?)

House Warming Package

Img_1633

I just received this wonderful surprise package from my sweet friend Domi, whose art I've blogged about before. She had said to me, that she wanted to send me the new issue of MILK magazine, with the special edition on kids rooms and oh I've been exited about getting my hands on this one!

She included the sweetest little notebooks for the 3 of us.....

Img_1643

....some lovely chocolate with awesome animals, a super vintage looking package of "bonbons" and....

Img_1634 Img_1638

....this amazing  rubber vase to slide on top of any type of bottle, glass or even jars! This was the best housewarming gift. Ever.

I am the luckiest girl, wouldn't you say?

Like I Really Need a New Hobby....

Img_1290 Img_1304

Img_1295 Img_1303

I recently bought some new paint. See I've been using the kids poster paint and it is not good! The paintings I already made looks awful now...bah! I also got some new canvases and took a look at my Great Grandpas old paint box - isn't it marvelous? A lot of my ancestors have painted at some point in their lives and my Grandpas brother was living as an artist - I like that, I'm very intrigued, but I don't really need a new hobby, now do I?

(The "owl-Christmas-tree" print is made by Elisabeth - I SO, so love it! I will buy a black Ribba frame for it in IKEA and hang it on my wall - can hardly wait!)

I Got SUPERswapped!

Img_1211 Img_1224

Img_1228 Img_1231

My end of the French superswap! has arrived and we were all super exited! The fabulous Stéphanie at sicotin sent us a box of goodies, containing loads of Mommy´s superhero - Superman - goods: A Superman "Strikkelise", Superman tea and a superhero book. She made a Superman softie for my son and a lovely pillow with a rainbow, for my daughter, who just recently discovered rainbows and are really exited about them. She also made a Digimon painting for my son, which he keeps carrying around, trying it out on all the walls, to find a good spot for it!

We are very grateful. Thank you so much Stéphanie, for making this such a great swap!

Check out the cute mushrooms and dog she made....ooh la lah....

And finally my package arrived at Manouche's! I loved making this for her and I'm really glad they all liked what I sent!

On Its Way To France

Img_1210

For the superswap!

Now on to my contribution for Plush You!

Swaps at Dawn

Img_1141

The fabulous and super talented Dawn sent me this huge box of goodies. It contained Aeble (apple in Danish) - the Rhino - as a birthday present for my son, who turned 7 yesterday. The tags had wonderful stories of Aeble and Blomst (flower in Danish) - the Jack Rabbit. Blomst was for me, but it turned out that my daughter snatched it from me! Who can blame her? I have been longing for Dawns Love=Creatures "forever" and was so, so pleased when we decided to do a swap.

Img_1151

Of course we had to include mags, being mag lovers the both of us. She also included some wonderful books for the kids.

Img_1144

And a set of glittery flower tattoos and diamond rings! WOW! The joy!

Img_1137

Her Mom made this bag and it is so me. I can't wait to use it with my boots in the Fall.....

Img_1153

Check out my end of the bargain here! And I just have to second everything she says about Blog friends!!! So, so true.

On an entirely different note:

I have been offline for the last week. Something happened to the computer and it went pitch black! It might have something to do with a "few drops of coffee" in the keyboard - a-hem - and my Husband being in Sweden for a 10 day work trip.

Anyway, I will be trying to get back on emails for the next couple of days, just to let you know I didn't forget anyone ;o)

Miss Swaps-a-Lot

Img_0588_2 Img_0630

I got this fabulous necklace in a swap with Diana from Georgia. I saw it in her etsy shop and now I wear it ALL the time. I just LOVE it! In return I sent her this dog.

I've had a few magazine swaps with Californian Heidi from peekKEEP - peekKEEP is a wonderful on-line shop selling mainly Scandinavian design. DO check it out!

Rebecca from the U.K."claimed a prize" for being the first to guess, that my husband went to Greenland to work, earlier this year. I just HAD to send her something for being so fresh - so I sent her this cat along with some bits of fabric and buttons.

When Elisa from Italy announced she was having a baby girl, I immediately made her this giraffe. As a surprise she sent me/my daughter the gorgeous blouse below. Now I really appreciate the beautiful big bellied  Elisa's handiwork - so fab - and the fact that she took the time to make it for me.

Img_0642_2 Img_0643_2

Img_0644 Img_0645

Img_0652 Img_0654

Sorry about the overload of cuteness ;o)

Karine from France asked me to join the French superswap! and I happily joined....now my only problem is that I (still) don't speak French! Karine is very kind to translate all the questionnaires etc. but I was thinking that, maybe I should just stop mingling with the French? Except that I really want to. They seem so cool....

13767643

A HUGE thank you to my friends all over the world, for being so wonderful!

More Moomin More Corners

More Moomin craze from Paivi! She sent me 3 dishtowels - Little My included - and I just couldn't bare toweling of my dishes in such prettiness, so I framed one and put it on my wall.

Little My

Img_0399 Img_0397

We have been away since Friday, visiting my Mother-In-Law for a "Work Weekend" together with my husbands brother(+family) and sister(+family). We had a wonderful time hanging out, working, eating and sleeping together. The kids really enjoyed being with their cousins, especially since they don't get to see them that much, being scattered all over the country.

As for 10::10 Sunday, I made another giraffe similar to this one.

Img_0407

Going Down....

You say worm - I say snake

Img_0386 Img_0388

Img_0389 Img_0393

Here my daughter is sporting her new Moomin dress. I made it from a pillow cover, that I got from Paivi. Who by the way, is still waiting for her end of the swap. A-hem. The worm, which she prefers to call snake, is the one I started on for her. We both got impatient and I ended it a bit to soon. She is also showing her love for the walrus, her Daddy brought back from GREENLAND. Yup he went there for 4 days to work on some machines. That's all I know about that!

Img_0409 Img_0411

And YES! We got a bunny. Today. He (or she?) was promptly called Mumle - as in Mumble from Happy Feet. He is loving his new huge home (used to house this big fella) and we have one HAPPY boy, loving Mumle.

Made For A Good Cause

5

These 10 Chinese girls went to Carol's Made For China project and I can see they already arrived! I think it's such a great idea. I just had to support it. Carol's sister has adopted a little girl - Jane - and will be going back to China in late March to visit orphanages. Carol then planned to make 325 little gifts for her, to take along and give to the kids there, since they don't have anything. She asked if anyone was interested to help her and if you take a look through her "pages" and "loot" - I would say a lot was interested in supporting such a great project! If you're super fast, you can still contribute, as she will need the gifts by March 20 th.

2

(More here, here and here.)

I've had some more packages going out of here lately. Since Amy send me such sweet gifts I wanted to send something back. She has 2 boys, so I made a blue giraffe and the boat elephant for them all to enjoy!

Swapparoo

Img_7883

Kristy and I did a little swapparoo and look! I got Reginald!!!! I sent her one of these in exchange and a little mushroom. We also traded some fabrics and Kristy sent me some of that fabulous fabric, that Reginald is made of! I so needed some blues, as I just bought my daughter some turquoise stockings, to go with her turquoise long sleeved T, she inherited from her brother. I think there will be enough fabric to make a tiny skirt. Thank you Kristy!

Img_7884 Img_7885

I also got a package from Amy - who is no longer blogging :o( but she still shares her photo's on Flickr ;o) I had commented on her LOVELY coasters (on her blog) and she offered to send me some! Isn't she the nicest? She even included a needle case, which I really needed - the one I had made was awful - and an Otedama Bag. I really love her fabric choices. They are so cheerful. So me. It was all beautifully wrapped, but of course I tore of the pore paper, before I could get a chance of taking any photo's. Well I would've had to wait a few days for photo's though, we've had so much rain and cloudy weather here....anyway I'm thinking of things to send in return, but it's a secret for now ;o)

Img_7888

I want to THANK EVERYBODY for the super nice comments on my Giraffe, Elephant and Mice Softies. It's just amazing and I am overwhelmed! I have some sneaky plans on patterns for them, but more on that later....

In My Bag

Img_7537

Thought it was time to check in on my bag - what is going on in there? Well the bag is the lovely "Koko" from Wise Craft, which I swapped last year for one of my knitted dogs. Also last year, I bought a tissue holder from Little Birds and she send me a mini pin cone as a present. Super sweet - I use it as a key hanger. The wallet is from Three Green Apples. I had another swap with Curious Bird. She sent me an owl and the purse. Now the purse I didn't empty, because we all know what tampons look like, but I also use it for a pack of my unhealthy habit! See I stopped smoking when I got pregnant with my son and have been thinking of it ever since. Terrible. Then 6 years later I find myself in our garden, in the sun, daughter asleep, coffee in hand and cigarette in the other! Tsk tsk....

Img_7539 Img_7542

The phone is my new Nokia - love it! The bunny pal for my bear is from Noa Noa Miniature. He was attached to a present my daughter got for Christmas. Noa Noa put one on all their presents for kids last year!

Quite the lovely swaps I did in 2006, huh? I think I will be up for more here in 2007 ;o)

Little Signs of Christmas

Img_7146jpg2 Img_7153jpg2

Yesterday my son and I made these. Well I made these, since he thought they where "....booooring...." I thought they were quite funny funny to make. They're from last years Christmas issue of MS Kids.

Img_7142jpg2 Img_7144jpg2

Santa will be made later. I ran out of little white buttons.

This years Christmas stockings are in the making. I plan on them looking a bit like the Denyse Schmidt Oven Mitts, but will embellish them with these fabrics and buttons.

Img_7162jpg2 Img_7164jpg2

Also in the making. For a swap with Kristy for one of her GORGEOUS Simplies. Lucky me. Lucky lucky me.

Magazines and other things Galore

Img_7045

Look at the wonderful magazines, my sweet friend Tracy sent me! I am so lucky. I have been swooning over the atomic ranch magazine, since she posted about it. Haven't had a MS Kids in my hands FOREVER. Never had either Ready Made or Real Simple Family - so I am REAL happy! Thank you Tracy.

Oh....and she also sent all kinds of goodies for the kids (and adults alike), the Kids CD Swap - a-hem....swap goes way back ;o) - and of course the GORGEOUS paper, that started the whole dang thing!

Img_7049 Img_7052

Fantastic, huh? Must do paper cuts tonight!

Other things fantastic are these paintings by Jeanette Uldall.

010405782 010433971

I love the colors. She will be at the Freestyle Factory Bazaar this weekend. I hope I can go. I wish I was a part of it. Maybe next time?

There will be all kinds of good stuff, like clothing for all ages and genders, bags, hats, jewelry, felt things, ceramics, lamps etc. by 40 different designers! Geeezzzz...I gotta go. Must take lotsa photo's to share, right?

W.I.P.

Img_7016jpg2

I'm making one more cat. For fun. And for the love of this fabric. I thrifted it a while back. It's bed linen. I want to use it for a scarf as well. Mix it up with some thrifted yarn. Maybe in the line of this.

Img_7022jpg2

To wear with this coat I recently thrifted. $ 8,- I love the color. I just had to remove the shoulder pads. Maybe I'll lift the shoulder seam abit.

Img_7003jpg2_1

I also thrifted these "ZOO" pants for my son's birthday. Have to shorten them abit. I got him a black shirt to go with them. He didn't like it. Then I got this transfer from Shannon. She send me some cool fabric, that I decided would look good with the transfer. He doesn't like it.

Img_6994jpg2

My daughter loves the transfer. Will make something for her in stead.

I bought me some Christmas Cards from Shannon's Etsy Shop. Don't know if I'll send them anywhere. As you might have noticed - I LOVE HER LITTLE CREATURES!

Img_7001jpg2

She even sent me some extras!

Magazine Swap 2+3

Img_7026jpg2 Img_7028jpg2

My Magazine Frenzy is (sadly) over. My last bash was from Alexa of Lille Hus - an on-line shop, selling great Scandinavian stuff, like this little pot and stainless steel kitchen unit. Which - by the way - is VERY popular around these parts of the world!

12large 6large

Check out how cute she looks too ;o) And I'll meet her! Early next year she's coming to Denmark to shop for her shop!

Anyway....she send me *Blueprint* + *Domino* and *Real Simple* and I just love all of them!

In return I send her Isabellas, Boligmagasinet and Boligliv. The same package will go to Annu (DO NOT scroll down to see photo of me looking VERY pregnant, when we met in August - y'all know I'm not pregnant) in Finland, who ALSO has an on-line shop + real life shop, selling Scandinavian stuff! Here she is (to the right) with her sweet sister Liinu.

Img_6176 Img_6175jpg2

OK...so in return she is sending me these.....need I say more?

Muki_rakkaus_tk Hemuli_tk

Check them all out here. Maybe I'll show MY collection soon?

Magazine Swap # ONE

Img_6905

I'm in the middle of a Magazine Swap Frenzy! A few weeks ago, Yvonne and I decided to do a magazine swap, since I took her up on her suggestion. And look what lovelies I got:

All interior decorating - All GREAT.

Img_6908 Img_6910

Img_6914 Img_6912

These photos are all from Ariadne at Home Kinderen - very inspiring, huh?

I love all the cool ways they've used wallpaper. Check out the *Retro House.* (Below)

Img_6909

I think these pillows (below) are real sweet - and quite easy to copy!

Img_6915_1

Well...all this inspiration comes in quite handy, because we have decided that we want the kids out of our bedroom and in to a (new) bedroom of their own. We have the (almost) done playroom downstairs and a family bedroom upstairs. That will be the Kids bedroom and our "closet room" will be our new Parent bedroom - sigh - closets will go downstairs in mud/washroom. This is a huge project, but I hope we will be done before 2007!

More Magazine Swaps to come.....

:: P A R I S ::

Thursday morning on September 7. at 7:30 CET, Steen and I will fly off to Paris - AGAIN - for FOUR days....without the kids! We have then known each other for 10 years and felt it was appropriate to celebrate!!!

Img_0869 Img_0874

Img_6312_3 OK, so since this is the month of September, I would like to share my Camilla/Ana/Sabine wall, because it's my fave month in Camilla's calender and it'll be my contribution to this weeks Corners of My Home.

See ya all next week ;o)

Strrrripes

Img_5236_1  Img_5553

Img_5555  Img_5276

Poor Baby! Her Mommy is crazy for stripes! Wow....I really AM nuts - check out the top right one. She even has a striped tank top, showing under the striped wrap dress! Geee....even my crafting is stripey ;o) The dog was for Blair. Ooohh by the way, she sent me a copy of Blueprint - very nice - we can't buy that or Domino or Cookie here. I just subscribed to Cookie though....hope it's good?

Img_5239 Img_5221

Anyway. We just started moving things around the house, to accommodate our new lifestyle. Now it's an even bigger mess. Upstairs we moved the closets out of our bedroom - where the 4 of us sleeps - into the kids room - where they never go. Loving the brightness and air....aahhhh.

The kids will then get the downstairs office/craft room, as a playroom and my husband and I will have to set up camp, somewhere else?

Photo's to come later....gotta get out in the sun....it's finally here! YAY! Time for shades.

Img_5589

Not TOtally gone ;o)

Hey everybody....I'm still here....thank you for all the nice comments and emails!!!

Well I can't just leave all my friends now, can I? I've been thinking a lot about this whole blogging thing - and I can see I got Shannon thinking too - what it means to me? I *spoke* to Blair a bit about it too. About the friendships we form here - are we REally friends? I can only say now, that we are! I can see how people think about me and take time to write to me and I think about my friends too ;o) (A smile for you Shannon - ha ha!)

  • I LOVE blogging
  • I LOVE crafting
  • I LOVE selling my stuff

And I will continue to do so. I just need to find a daily routine around here, being new to staying at home and all! And I REally need to get my house de-cluttered, it clutters my brain, y'know? It was SO cluttered today, the weather is gray AND I just got my period (which bums me out), but then I got this in the mail:

Img_5523_1

Ever since Blair blogged about her first quilted handbag, I have LOVED them. When we arranged a swap, I never thought she would make me one - but she DID! And she even made it like *my first love*. She even send some other goodies: Fabric swatches, paper, candy, "Blueprint" magazine + pressies for the kids. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SAVING MY DAY BLAIR!

AND if that wasn't enough: When I opened my email Shannon had written me a looong LOVELY letter - thank you sweetie ;o)

AND I got a request for more giraffes!!!! Phew!

More goodies:

Img_5532_1 Img_5529_1

1. From my swap with RUN AMOK

2. I bought this pocket wallet from three green apple's

SO! How are YOUR routines? Do you have any? You better answer this or I will make a meme and TAG you all!!

Post-Easter

Easter is done. My daughter is done nursing. Here she is, totally unaware of what is going to happen!

Img_5291 Img_5419

My son and I had 2 sleepovers at my Mom's place and when we went to my husband's Moms house, he and our daughter came too. The weening has been ok - not to frustrating or crazy - so now we're trying out new routines. Without Mommy's titty ;o)

The *Easter Bunny* came for a visit (isn't it a HUGE rabbit we have?), as did my wonderful friend Laila - checking out my new book, that I got from Lisa. (Check out what I send her!) Oh I just LOVE that book.

Img_5330 Img_5359

Recently I have received so many goodies and I have more to come!

Ooooo

I just got these from Shannon and I can't stop looking at them!  They're just so well made, but more importantly - they're sooo cool and HILARIOUS! She also send me fabric and paper swatches, a CD and TWO magazines! (Check out the fabric on the chair, on the front page of the right magazine: Australian Spot.) And I send her 2 cards :o( Hm! Leya send me a beautiful owl (who lives in my yarn basket!) and zipper pouch. Annu send me 2 beautifully wrapped mugs: Moomintroll on ice and Snorkmaiden. They absolutely blew me away. The colors and the MUG - all very wonderful and well suited for coffee drinking! I am now collecting Moomin cups and with our Mag/Mug swap every month......oh hooh hooh!!!

Img_5472 Img_5446

I've gotten *tons* of fabric swatches - thank you: Manda, Lisa, Shannon, Rosa. Take a look how they match.

Lucky me

Ooooohh...I've already gotten my mail from Lisa! (Got here fast, huh?)

THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!

Check this out:

Pakke_1 Img_5281_1

Everything was sooo wonderfully wrapped and even the outside of the package was like a Lisa collage ;o)

Img_5302 Img_5305 Img_5306

I got THE book - and I so so love it! I also got these cute elephants (that my son has already stolen), soap, squirrel/mushroom washcloth - ain't it cute? and FABRIC swatches:

Img_5304 Img_5298 Img_5299

Img_5301 Img_5300

I never had any Amy Butler fabric before....now I do....lucky me....

She also included 2 photos and some Cram Cream tape  - sorry about the blur - had to show it! I love it!

Img_5303_1 Img_5296

Swap-o-rama!

The swapping have gone TOtally crazy here in camp karkovski!!!

Img_5061 Img_5093

First up was the Mini Swap, that we REALLY enjoyed. My son got a super cool box of goodies and was all game for creating something for Cassidy. I went nuts  gathering this package for her.

Img_5108_1  Img_5114

We did postcards, maps, drawings and brochures. I made a "How-to-knit-a-cat" tutorial with materials and (of course) a finished cat: *Knitty*.

Img_5116 Img_5110 Img_5142

I drew a *fairy* that we colored with aqua colors, so Cassidy can paint on it with water (only). We sent her a "sorry-we're-late" fairy and Fairy flower seeds for her to plant, when the weather allows it! Yes Cassidy loves fairies -  I took that idea and RAN with it, huh? Well there are more photo's here.

  • Now I'm on to my (all most finished) swap for Blair - I want to spoil her a bit, she's just every where here in Blogland, with her giving spirit!
  • I'm doing a swap with Lisa - she knows she's getting this in green, but she's teasing me, with what she's getting for me ;o) so I'm gathering some surprises as well....
  • Next up: A trade with Leya - an elephant card for a baby owl and zipper pouch!!! Her blog is new to me and I love it. And her owls ;o)
  • Finally Annu and I are doing a *once-a-month* swap: She gets danish magazines - I get Moomin cups. YAY!
  • OH my....Fiona? There was something about a magazine swap?

My magazine "pusher" will think I've gone ga-ga!!! That's for sure.....

AND I'm actually selling in my shop....phew.....I'm a lucky girl....

*I just have to say, that I've experienced some e-mail problems. I didn't receive the comments from my most recent post: "Kids Rooms" - but I will try to get back to all of you anyway! The problem have been solved for new posting.

Thanks for all the comments by the way - wow how we all love kids rooms, huh? ;o)*

I'm back with more whining...

....my weblog is SOOO exiting!

And now I'm totally rhyming.....sorry about that.....my brain is all clogged up, because I've got a cold ;o)

Well my husband (the breadwinner), is working his butt of these days, working evenings, weekends and double shifts!! So I'm pretty much left alone with the kids and my cold. NO... I'm not feeling sorry for myself, just telling you that, I'm a little out there and all my great crafting and re-decorating plans, are not moving a long as fast as one would like. I did manage to bake these super healthy biscuit's today, that the kids hated! Aaaaahhhh....now I have them all by myself and a nice cup of decaf-coffee...(don't wanna hang around too late...)

Img_5154 Img_5157

I also went through all of my son's old clothes, to find something to fit my daughter and to save some baby clothes for my brothers baby  Pablo ;o) Well that's the name my husband came up with and the name we root for. Go Pablo!

I'm gonna have to speed up, with the bedroom for the kids. My daughter sleeps with me, but she really needs her own bed and to find a way to go to bed, that doesn't take up 2 hours of Mommy's evening!!

Img_5150

My son made this mask in kindergarten. He's made some more at home. A wolf for my brother, a hamster for his girlfriend and a tiny dragon for their baby. Oh and a tiger for his Grandma. So creative he is - my son.

Img_5146

And FInally....tomorrow this package will be posted! I have been waiting for these to arrive for Cassidy and it just took forever. I KNOW she'll love'em ;o)

Next I'll be up to a swap with Blair and a magazine swap with Fiona....yay! And of course get my shop up and running. I've got paper all over our dining room table and I'm finishing 2 dogs!

THANK YOU MANDA!

OK....so it hasn't even been a day, but I just HAVE to share this.

Img_5065

Manda sent me this lovely wedding present - a quilt - it says *congratulations* and *February 11. 2006* and I just SOOOOO LOVE it. The photo does no justice at all, you should all see it. Manda...you're ABsolutely aMAzingly talented and creative and I can't wait for it, to hang on my wall!!!! Oh and she sent me some lovely fabric as well......I'm so so lucky ;o)

My son also received a package today. It was from his MiniSwap partner Cassidy - her Mom doesn't have a blog, but you can see his goodies here. He got A LOT of great stuff.  He was SOOO exited and it made me all joyous and misty-eyed to see him like that! SWEET!

We have some great stuff, to wrap up for Cassidy too and it's going out of here at the end of the week.....I'm focusing on that now ;o)

Taking a Blog Break

I have to take a little Blog Break - I've got stuff going on, up to my ears ;o)

*I've been a bad blogger, because I don't have time to comment.

*I've been neglecting our MiniSwap girl :o(

*I've done NO crafting!

*I've got nothing exiting to share...

What I HAVE been doing, is worry about our money-situation.....wah wah wah.....and clearing and cleaning house, so it'll present it self well, when the real estate agents come and take a look. We have to take out a loan in our house, so I can be a stay-at-home-Mom and it just never cleared!!! Dammit!

I just SO SOOO love staying at home - I just can't handle the stress at the moment, so I'm taking a break here! Hope to see you soon.

Img_5054_2

Today's cleaning lady, all dressed up with a lovely flower pin, from my sweet friend Blair. Saved my day ;o)

Weekend

Yesterday the kids and I went to visit my Mom and go out for lunch with her, my brother Rasmus and his girlfriend Sophie - we had such a fun time, laughing like lunatics!!

Img_5025_1 Img_5027_1

LOOOVE MY KIDS: Kisses, hugs, hearts, squeezes, love, love, love....;o)

As I went to check the schedule for the trains in the morning, I stopped by Flickr to see what was going on with "my contacts" . I saw this and remembered: IT'S FRIDAY! So I checked the trains and the computer was OF until this morning - yay - I'm so good! (If I would just remember!!!)

After such a great Friday with family, my son and I will do Mini Swap today. We bought this book (here) for Cassidy yesterday, so she can learn danish.....noooo we just love the book - it's absolutely funny and the illustrations tell it all! My son drew a dog, that I'm sewing for her and he gets to try to sew on my machine!!! Argh... We have a few other small projects lined up and hopefully the package will be out of here Monday.

Img_5033 Img_5042 Img_5039

Oh.... on another note: After seeing ThriftCraft and all the lovely links, I have decided to hang on to my thrifted goods and just *show them of* instead of selling them!  I will still sell my handmade goodies....just need a few more hours in the day though ;o)

Super Surprise

Today I got such a wonderful surprise - my first wedding present! And I sooo appreciate the GORGEOUS wrapping and great taste of Alicia. I had sent her my 2 Christmas cards and she got me ALL THIS!

So now I've got some more *cuteness* for my shadowbox - which is not a shadowbox, but a...oh now I forgot? *Now I know: printers tray*. Anyway I don't think I'll have ALL by myself. Look at my son - ready to *snatch* some goodies and my daughter says "MINE" to the pink elephant!?! She says that to my tits too.....she looks at me, slap my tit and firmly says: "MINE"! - Well I still breastfeed her ;o)

Well...all the goodies, was a perfect ending to a glorious day, spent shoe shopping for my wedding dress! I got these wonderful purple suede shoes, with a *tulip-toe*! And ON SALE!

These next few days, will probably be blog-free for me - I HAVE A WEDDING TO BE PREPARED FOR ON SATURDAY! So everybody have a nice weekend and see ya next week with PHOTOS!

Finnish Visitors

Yesterday I had the most WONDERFUL TIME in Copenhagen with Annu of Lovely Living and her sister Liinu. They were in Denmark to attend the Formland Fair, to shop for their boutique.

Me, Annu and Liinu.

We had lunch, went shopping, had coffee and exchanged goodies!

Annu gave me this vintage Marimekko dress, that I just looove. Now I have to buy a matching dress for my daughter! She also gave those cool mittens, my boyfriend got chocolate tools (that he wants to bring to work!), my daughter got a retro cat and my son got a cool t-shirt. She TOTALLY knows my style, which is very cool of her ;o) Everything was wrapped up so nice, with Moomin cards (that I so so love), but the photos I took were crap. We have the most lousy weather around here - as you can probably tell from most of my photos.....sorry....

Well I gave Annu the piggies...and yes the *cute* one too ;o)

Here's a peek at the Funny Lady I made her - the one on the right, the other one's for my Mom - and to the far left is an elephant card and a giraffe card for her (and her kids). They're all for framing.

I'll have some Funny Ladies and other funny cards up for sale, some time after the wedding - the 11. this month - I was being VERY optimistic saying they'd be ready now!

The Pig that didn't want to be made

I'm making a pair of pig-softies for a sweet girl and her baby brother. Weeeeel.....first I cut all the fabric and then I started on the girl piggy. It all went fine, until the stuffing: She burst! The felt kept expanding and I kept filling...poor thing! Then I tried to *operate* on her - doing a little *plastic surgery*. Oh my...her face got really big and weird, but I kept going! Adding a (to big) snout, messing up my stitching and now I can feel my vanity lurking: "Don't give her away - don't show her to anyone!" Wow...do I feel that? Well my son agrees, that she's ugly, but my daughter think she's wonderful and I know she funny, but I wanted her to be cute and adorable, y'know? The fabric was chosen thereafter. MmmmmmmK............I'll let you see her!
