I'm in the middle of exams.

And not at any kinda design- or art school.

Apparently I lose focus when I don't blog.

It seems blogging helps me visualize and systematize which are key sides of my personality.

I have conflicting feelings about blogging though but as for now and for me: It's a good thing.

It gives me some sort of undefinable creative outlet. And I need that in a life filled with kids, chores, school and chaos.

A little work in progress.

I'm always working on multiple projects: Sewing, knitting, painting, re-decorating etc.

A hoooooge re-dec project is on its way, as we need to make our apartment more functional. It might not end up very....hmmm...conventional but will definitely meet our needs. More on that later.

 

A little while ago Kathrine kindly offered me this book - 'Super Mom' - after leaving a wonderful comment on my blog. She included the sweetest little bird brooch from her etsy shop, where she also sells fab shoulder warmers like this one!

When I saw Mettes fabulous new blouses, I was so in awe. As much as I wanted to go ahead and buy one for my daughter, I just really wanted to try one out myself.

So here's the result.

I used a mix of patterns from the books below. I had to fit the pattern to a size 5. (Both books only go up to size 4.) AND I had to alter the final pattern to make it into 'the right blouse' and now I have to make a new pattern, since this one is to big for her.

She did wear it already though.

To kindergarten.

And this dress is just a w.i.p.

Seams and stitches not that finished.

Bummer.
